Kevin's birthday: Our first "kid-free" night out together! We went to an awesome little restaurant that is exactly what you'd picture if an Italian restaurant were featured in a cheesy romantic movie. Except it wasn't cheesy at all! La Cantinella...we'll be back!
After dinner, we walked around the city center of Torino...
And cozied up in a caffe' for a late-night "special" coffee and tea...

How do you entertain little ones during a wine tasting? Bring some random things and set them loose on the floor!
Zoey's 4th Birthday: Birthday Breakfast with the Pulis and Guscott Families! We hosted a delicious breakfast of french toast, bacon, and fruit for our closest friends here in Italy and it was just perfect! We decided to keep it low-key and opted out of the the traditional over-the-top, invite-the-whole-class, sugar-filled, birthday extravaganza that seems to be typical for Italian kids. Instead, we had a great morning filled with friends, love, and laughter...
We started with breakfast...
We opened presents...
And we even squeezed in a few crafts! We painted snowflake ornaments for our Christmas trees...
And made jars of reindeer food to sprinkle on our driveways on Christmas Eve!
It was a perfect way to celebrate Zoey's 4th birthday in Italy!
